So, when I was spending time with my nephews at the campfire site in a forest
at Tuusula, Finland (a municipality within the Helsinki Region), along with the champignons
we also cooked some bell peppers to be filled with about the same stuff as the champignons.
This due to the fact that my younger nephew doesn't like any mushrooms and
in order to have a suitable alternative for him.
I didn't get to have a taste, since they were for my younger nephew
(plus I'm not the biggest fan of bell peppers) but he ate them with
no complaint, so... probably decent enough.
As with some of the champignons, I added some mustard
on these too and once again, the mustard being Turun Sinappi.
The lean-to with the campfire site in question can be checked here on OpenStreetMap.
INGREDIENTS
Bell peppers
Fresh cheese
Pizza seasoning
Mustard (optional)
EQUIPMENT
Firewood
Lighter
Small knife (sharp enough)
Butterknife
Kitchen paper
Water (to extinguish the fire)
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Use a small knife to cut the bell peppers in half
and remove the seeds.
2. Place the halved bell peppers on the campfire
grating and let them cook for as long as you deem necessary
(though maybe not until they're nothing more than charcoal lol)
3. Fill the bell pepper halves with fresh cheese using a butterknife.
4. Sprinkle some pizza seasoning onto the filled bell pepper halves.
5. Add some mustard, if you want.
NOTES
If you're cooking food at a campfire in the nature,
remember to follow the basic rules of thumb.
Do not make a campfire if the weather is too dry or windy
and whenever there is a warning of forest fire in your region.
Don't trash nature, make sure to extinguish the campfire
properly before leaving the place, et cetera et cetera.
If you want to do these with some other kind of filling, then go ahead.
