How did this engine become a ghost?

Built in 1863, thirteen was subject to several strange events til 1913. After years and years of service and misfortune, thirteen was involved in a horrible crash when a bridge collapsed underneath it and it's passenger train. Coaches were heavily damaged and several passengers were either injured or dead.... But thirteen was left unharmed, sitting atop the rocks in the river. It was sent for scrap afterwards where it sat in a siding for decades, in that time nearby residents would claim to hear the engine's whistle echoing in the night. til 1987 when the scrap dealers finally decided to put an end to it. They examined thirteen then went to find tools. When they came back.... Thirteen had vanished without a trace.

Every now and then though, Thirteen can be seen running the rails and dangerous speeds, hauling the very same coaches it carried on the day of it's infamous crash. And a word to the wise. If it ever stops at a station near you.... Do NOT climb aboard, no matter what...
