Overall, his homeland and its atmosphere are quite dark, with darker colors first and foremost and they are themed to be sea-related. It's not like it's completely grim, but there's "right amount" of darkness.
Besides, I wanted an art that would show his routine when it comes to fighting monsters. He may be small, comparing it to the creature, but he can still pack quite a punch.
