He helped me design Sergei and Jackie, shown on the left and the right.
I decided to introduce some characters for present day usage; when Curtis and company are too old to bust heads as main characters.
After all, a lot changed since 1997.
Meet the New Gen Trio; Left to Right:
Sergei Kerimov, the deer with the golden antlers. Born 1997. He's a Slavic mob boss who's been recently promoted to said position against his will after the untimely assassination of his father. Introvert, he prefers to stay spoiled and play games all day. Much to his dismay though, he keeps getting roped into business problems he does not care about. Over time, he learns to become a potent leader and accept his position.
Travis T. Jones, the son of Curtis Jones. Born 2000. He's a resourceful coder that takes more after his dad than he realizes. Travis thinks his life is boring and surely the end couldn't simply be to work a nine-to-five for the same IT company as the one he interned for. He wants to be a hard-boiled criminal like his dad - Much to his father's dismay. This draws him to want to befriend Sergei all the more after bumping into him at the wrong place and witnessing the much romanticized gang life first hand - Maybe even put his programming skill to some adrenaline-inducing criminal use.
Jackie Zheng, the crime world dragon. Born in Chicago 1986. Despite never really knowing his dad, he's a man out for revenge. All he knows is that his father was killed by the mob in Vegas - But his intrusive digging resulted in a price on his head, and now he's on the run. Word on the street is that he's setting up a crew, if not a network of connections. Only the best informants in the underworld can help him find his father's killer. If he's lucky, he'll stumble by old some contacts willing to share a story from back in the day about his dad. Just like his father, Jackie has a hidden taste for cars and ambitious plans to rule underworld.
The trio would meet somewhere around 2017-2019, at the apex of their individual stories, realizing their true potential as individuals and as a team.
