Long before she was imprisoned, Askiath was the goddes of the most powerful clan in jungles. Those who invaded her lands were dealt with harshly, and she protected her people fiercely.

She was however, also a benevolent goddess to those who proved themselves capable on the field of battle whether friend or foe. Those of her clan who fought bravely beyond what was asked of them would be transformed into her children. While enemies were turned into Askiath’s hounds, strange rat wolf hybrids that were sent to hunt down the goddess’ enemies that tried to hide from her. Over the thousands of years of her imprisonment, both the children and hounds of the queen of rats were slain or died of old age, still only bearing mortal life spans.

In the storis of the victors, the goddess became known as a demon, and as what was once prayers to her turned to curses of her name, she plotted her revenge against the ones who slew the clan, the family that she had sworn to protect.

Didn’t manage to get this in before one day turned to the next, but it was the drawing I started working on from the moment I woke up from my medicated headache coma. I wanted to approach Askiath again, and also didn’t feel I had the time for a three panel transformation sequence with shading and coloring etc… I’m very happy with the way this one turned out though.
