Scenery commission for , this time he suggested jungle ruins to go with my theme this month. While I had originally intended something more...ruiny....Somewhere in the sketching process these elven doorways appeared and the piece kind of got away from me. ^_^' I still did my best to keep it looking like the doors had crumbled a bit. Forest (or in this case, jungle) scenery is for me a bit like taking a walk down an unknown path in the woods...things kind of materialize as I go, little details or shapes come to mind. The layers build during the coloring process until the scene is completed. Its pretty fun!

I also have a digitally enhanced version I'll post right after this one, just wanted to play with the lighting a bit more.
