Arrangement: Sprinter (Super Hang-On)
Continuing with my project of doing all the songs in the soundtrack to the classic SEGA video arcade game "Super Hang-On," a motorcycle racing game from 1987, this is the second song of four the player can choose from before the race begins. This is entitled "Sprinter." This may be one of the hardest video game songs I ever tackled, and if I got this wrong, I am sorry, but it is frustrating sometimes to work with the limited chiptune quality these games have. As a result, my arrangement of the first song, "Outride a Crisis," didn't turn out the way I wanted it. I hope this one works out better.
Sometimes I like to experiment with different instrument combinations as well. As a result, this arrangement is for saxophone quartet (soprano, alto, tenor, baritone) and piano.
Original music composed by Katsuhiro Hayashi, Koichi Namiki
