Poor Obi ;_; I feel so bad for them! I hope the doctor can at least get them out of the lab all the time, though I can't imagine any company letting it's experiment out. I sense some escape plans in the future...

O-13E's in for a bit of a struggle, that's for sure. But James has already promised to do his best for his test subject, so there's that at least.

To be honest, I kept bouncing back and forth with how I'd pronounce it while I was writing it up. In my head it made sense as I suppose I'm trying to show the creature as transitioning from test subject to something else.

OH GOD, is it Prahjeckt Oh-Bee again??? It's really them again. I admit that I loved that character.

And it's so very cute in this story. Well, that's an interesting dilemma with laboratory creating a sentient creature and then owning it. Let Prahjeckt Oh-Bee go free! Or ummm at least I hope they will continue to care for it more than not, without there being a plot twist suddenly that someone took it and killed to study its brain or something like that.

And I will certainly read all the stories you write in this series. Just the huge amount of cuteness alone is enough to make them very fun to read.

O-13E's back with a vengeance (on expensive lab equipment that is)!

I'm glad you seem to like what I've done with this one so far. I already have a rough idea for the next two or three parts! Don't worry, regardless of what James tries, Apop-tech isn't about to let anything happen to O-13E; it is far too valuable as a research subject.

Aw, you made me rapidly fall in love with Obi. The company heads are still gonna want a return on their research investment, but if they have any genre savvy, they'll know it works out better for everyone involved if the subjects are treated with some compassion.

I'm thrilled to hear you seem to like O-13E; I haven't done much with it yet but I am slowly forming a full story for this one in my head. I suppose next up will be how the company responds to James trying to treat O-13E with compassion. If nothing else, at least Juliana is trying (now if only O-13E didn't actively avoid her for some reason)!

At this point, just about anything to get away from the lab would make O-13E happy. Even so, he still has a bit of a connection with James. Hopefully that will count for something when James goes to propose O-13E's new liberties around the company.

Much better execution here. Better balance on the description, and the content forced me to slow down and really absorb the atmosphere and emotions. The scientist's frustration was palpable.

I was having a bit of fun with this one so I'm really glad to hear that you thought this one came out a bit better. I do definitely like trying to push the emotion, whether good or bad, in these things.
