Probably a mistake on their part. Spyro had a disastrous decline with Enter the Dragonfly and while Crash wasn't in nearly as bad of a state as Spyro was, his games were on the decline. And Sonic? If this was after Sonic '06, I could see Sonic all bandaged up in that hospital.

Yeh he's a very chill guy though he does have a nasty bite about him, so you wouldn't want to be a bad guy around him! Still the games were fun though rather lackluster compared to a lot of platformers, especially Ratchet and Clank which came out at roughly the same time. So a Tasmanian Tiger armed with boomerangs in the outback versus an alien cat with an arsenal of guns and a quirky robot in a sci fi world? It was Just really bad timing.
