Raya doesn’t like to talk about it much (for hopefully obvious reasons), but she recently won the grand prize in the lottery. (Luckily, she lives in a state that allows you to claim your prize anonymously.)

She got everything paid off, did some much-needed repairs on the house, got her car fixed up, made some investments, and for the most part acted responsibly.

There is one thing she’d always wanted to do if she had money: travel. So, that’s what she’s doing. She told the library that she’s taking a sabbatical and will be spending a few months driving around the country. Being slightly over-organized, she isn’t going to just drive that-a-way until she runs out of sunlight. She actually has a plan and will be doing a rough circle around the country.

This is the first morning, Day 1. She’s leaning against her car, totally stoked to be hitting the road. Perry will be checking on the cats (Patches and Chewy) and the house, bringing in the mail, etc. So, all in all, she thinks she has it on lock.
