oh, i was thinking of ways to make it out of pure computer parts... like taking apart the HDD and using those gears to rotate the clock hands and the CMOS settings battery to power through the motherboard to turn the gears, the only challenging part to doing it my way though, is making the gears turn at the correct speeds... HDD gears are suppose to spin fast under any power circumstances, obviously, they are HDD gears... maybe shorting out the connection could make it move a little slower... but id leave it going fast just to watch the clock hand spin like a fan :P
yea, i love taking broken computer or electronic parts and trying to make something else out of them, back in 6th grade me and my cousin set out to recreate a solar powered handheld fan out of broken CD player parts and straws... we had to keep it hidden at school... and of course it disappeared eventually so we never got to finish the last couple parts of it :P
