Meet Amber, wardrobe stylist and close friends with Ripley.
Amber the Cheetah from a decent-sized family of six(two parents and four children) in Oklahoma. She is the middle younger sibling between Drew(older brother), Chance the german shepherd(adopted second oldest brother)and Bonnie(the youngest sister).
Drew set out to pursue his passion, becoming a curator at his favorite museum, leaving his younger siblings behind to figure out their futures. This left Amber(the most anxious member of the family of an already anxious species), feeling like she failed to meet her parents’ expectations when Drew found his passion job. She spent a good year coming up and scrapping ideas for jobs, her psyche slowly slipping before Chance stepped in to help her out her downward spiral. Remembering one of Amber’s favorite hobbies once forgotten in their childhood, he suggested that she and Bonnie start a stylist brand. Amber and Bonnie did as he suggests, taking out a hefty loan, the cheetah duo started their own brand: The Underdog. A combination of their family name Underwood and(being Bonnie’s idea) dog since it was Chance that gave them this idea so they wanted to honor him in this way. The logo of their brand is a cheetah and a dog racing together, the big cat leaping over the dog.
Business was rough for the girls, even with the loan starting the Underdog ate into their finances. Hardly enough customers came in to try out their clothing, they didn’t have the money to hire models to experiment with designs(they tried themselves at one point but it was proven difficult due to their spots conflicting with patterns), and bills piled onto to the growing financial problem. They had to supplement with side jobs like bartending. Things were looking grim before Amber’s life would be changed forever. A dinosaur seemingly sculpted from a tower of ivory, her body curvy in all the right places, and wild pink hair draped over the side of her head. She wore rather ragged clothes like they were only things left for her to have. Amber’s heart was beating a mile a minute, smitten by this exotic woman. The cheetah couldn’t help but go to her, pointing out the selection that they had, her eyes locked with the dino’s. When the newcomer put on a denim sleeveless jacket, a crop top, and leather pants(which tore a little thanks to Ripley’s spikes, but it enhanced her image instead of taking away from it), it is when an idea came to her. She could give her a job as a model here, it could save their business. The hybrid accepted the job, not really knowing what a job is, and this is where the Underdog brand skyrocketed. With Ripley’s exotic and fearsome appearance, along with Amber’s and Bonnie’s designing shifting to dark and punkish, people came in to buy their branded clothes. Sales went up and money came in like no tomorrow. It was more than enough to pay off the loan and the girls were able to rebuild the savings that were once nearly dried up. Outside of business, Amber made the effort to connect to the indominus, talk about potential shared interests, whatever goals this gal had. It was slow, but thanks to Amber’s persistence, she cracked the shell that Ripley was trapped in, and saw the bloom of a person that the dino was always meant to be. From that day on, Amber and Ripley became close friends, nearly inseparable. Of course Amber’s family took a liking to Ripley, with Bonnie looking up to her as someone to aspire to, Chance embraced with open arms, and Drew was overly curious with her, even grew a crush on her, though Amber would keep him in check when he was carrying on(out of respect to her friend, or maybe even jealousy. Who knows…)
