Hm, was actually a bit disappointed when I saw the "100% Photoshop" part, since I dig your ArtRage paintings, but this is close enough, I suppose.

By the way, what's your inspiration for the wild colour choices? Some traditional painter, perhaps? Or another reason?

I was thinking about taking it into Art Rage but I have been really experimenting with photoshop brushes so when I got to the point that I normally take it to art rage I didn't need to. But if I wanted that thick oil look I would have taken it in.

Inspiration is coming from the reference photo(the blurryness and jpg artifacting of it and of course the subject) and to a certain extent a Chinese painter that I am in love with. I didn't directly take a color pallet from that artist but they use very light tight value ranges in skin tones and push the color in a way that I am trying to understand. I am starting another painting now that is going to be more of a direct copy of that artists style to try and learn from them better. I am really obsessed with their works. I don't know if its a woman or man. I'll include a link. They literally are one of my all time favorite artists. I hope they keep posting artwork for me to download. They haven't posted new artwork in quite a few months.

This is brilliant. And knowing it's photoshop is even more surprising. It is a great tool but to do something natural looking in photoshop out of a drawing is incredible. You're truly a digital genius and a great bear artist.
