I'd avoid using flat, mid-range greys for the lineart (or in general), as it tends to dull the colors down, but otherwise really nice shading on this. The tail in particular looks nice --the angle of the brush strokes bring out the volume and shape.

Yeah looking back on this the colors are really dull. Especially when I see it next to that Charizard I did. o.O

Yeah, seems like generally you've been using a darker shade of the base color for the lineart, which really makes things pop. I just though I should point out the "avoid flat grey" thing here, haha.

But uh, as an aside, if you need any sort of advice with SAI or whatever, YOU KNOW WHERE I LIVE and I'm happy to help :3 I dunno, I'm just excited that your drawing, haha.

I think mostly I need to be more patient. I hardly ever take more then an hour on anything. Biggest reason why I don't use black lineart: so my lazy lineart isn't as apparent. I'm so lazy.

I'm drawin my first furry secks picture right now. Which is kind of awkward because I didn't ask the other person if I could do that to their character yet. Which will suck if they end up saying they're not cool with it because it's turning out awesome. o//w//o

Patience does help, yeah. I find if I'm feeling restless with a drawing, it's good to take a break so I don't get that "AUGH I JUST WANNA BE DONE" feeling. Also, do you using the stabilizer function at all? 'Cause that thing is my savior when it comes to lineart.

And OH LAWDY LAWD. I hope their cool with it too, haha :S If not um... practice is practice! Haha.

Yeahman I abuse the crap out of that. I have to turn it of to make things fluffy though, it's hard to draw fur that doesn't look stiff when I have it set on S-2.
