You try to rub the taste from your tongue, gagging slightly. That fruit was definitely bad, and it was a mistake to have taken such a large bite. It’s almost like you can still taste it, the horrible slimy taste tickling the back of your throat.
Perhaps if you weren’t so focused on your regret, you’d have noticed how much longer your tongue appears to be, or the fact of a similar purple spreading all across your body….
