I was out on Silver Strand Beach in Coronado Island yesterday. It was pretty cold most of the time I was there. Then the sun peaked though the cloudy day and brightened up the wave crests, Then this guy shot past me on a skimmer board using a kite to surf with on the wash in front of the waves coming in.
The beach was really hard to draw and yeah I got tires of doing water. It was originally in 700 dpi but kept crashing when I tried hitting save. So I reduced it down and drew this one. I found out my Derwent coloring pencils suck largely on watercolor paper. So I kept the scene in my mind by memory to draw it digitally.
