A few weeks ago I went to my uncles' house.
They had just cut some prickly pears. I had never tried them before, so I ate some. For some reason, the taste was like cucumber and watermelon, but not very sweet. But they were delicious (I didn't know that seeds weren't chewed, but rather swallowed).
I ended up getting pricked by the little thorns. They are annoying and hard to remove, since there were no thorns.
A curious experience (Next time I'll use something to hold them).
