Who do you believe in
Tell me, tell me, do
An omnipotent unseen entity?
Or those you are closest to?
Who is it you burden
When there is far too much to bear?
A spirit that surrounds us?
Or friends and family who are there?
Who is it you praise
when all is well and great?
Those who occupy the heavens?
Or your best pal or life-long mate?
Who do you blame
when life brings you nothing but gloom?
The powers that be?
Or everyone else in the room?
Who do you follow
when you feel lost and all alone?
The angel by your side?
Or your friends and family back home?
Where do those around you
turn when they are feeling blue?
Do they seek guidance from the heavens?
Or can they count on you?
No matter where you place your faith
know this much to be true
It's how you spend your life
that ultimately defines you

Well, it is human nature to desire something exchange for something else. As such, no need to be so hard on yourself if you do find there to be times where your motives may be far less friendly and considerate. The key point is to be sure you do more towards thinking and respecting others than simply using them for personal gain. :)
Bwoop! I remember this when you first posted it. 8D I guess everyone has different ways, or different ways of thinkin' on things, but I definitely prefer bein' around the people an' pals that're here. 8D We all help each other out a lot more than we notice, I think!
I am glad you liked it as you helped inspire it through our talks. Faith, God, Friends, and Family play a major role in our lives. It's how we respect and apply them individually that makes us who we are. :)
Right now, as I heal from this surgery, I think to myself how tempting it would be to ask God why he has bestowed yet another challenge upon me while praying for a fast recovery. However, I also realize God works in mysterious ways and, although I may not fully understand why I must endure now, I know I will come out a stronger and more positive individually in the end as God would not have given my body the ability to heal after this surgery if there still was not work for me to do with the usable vision I hope to soon regain. :)
*Hugs* Right now my red-vision has turned to yellow. This seems like a good sign. Soon, I hope to gain all my clarity back so I can enjoy your work even more, Tippie. Though, after I rest my eye a bit, I may check out that Note I saw you wrote and, with my technology, see what I can do to work up something for Pam and Ripp. I don't need visual clarity to write and a project right now would be just the remedy to keep my burdened mind on a positive track. :)
Stay wonderful! :)

I tried to make it open-ended with the idea of showing how folks attribute good times and bad times in their lives to either the heavenly or those around them.
I've noticed in the media, and through experience, how Lots of people tend to blame God when things are challenging or go to God when their lives are a wreck. However, in good times, you may hear the same person thank their best friend or family member for making it possible. Sure you have variants on the two, but just thought I'd write a little something on how we as people direct our emotions and faith. :)
[i]Sorry for the late response as I had to undergo emergency surgery and am just now able to see a bit again. :)
