I never said it wasn't solid! It just isn't refined, silly. In and of itself, it's a very nice piece. If you want a few quick tips, the only thing of I can think of is 1) be very careful with anatomy; the tail, specifically, doesn't hit me as a natural looking tail. 2) Be careful with positioning. While the pose is for the most part nice, the left paw (closer one for the viewer) seems like it should be grasping something; a stone under the snow, a root, something. That mostly has to do with the thumb; it's not horrible, but it does catch the eye.
Those are the two biggest things. If you really want to get picky, the lines of his body seem to be at a standpoint between soft and hard; it would work better with the background if it was softer, and it would be more defining if it was harder. Because of the background, I would personally suggest trying to make the outline softer. Lines that define the stomach and where the bones are in the legs are fine, but the outline is too hard as compared to the background.

I see what you mean. Thank you so much for critiquing my picture. :) It's helped me a lot and I shall fix up this pic a little more. :D Yours words are greatly appreciated! I especially see what you mean now about his hand, now that you've pointed it out to me. Thank you!
