I actually got out to get a brief amount of trigger time over the weekend with
pook and another to scratch an itch.
I took out only 2 pistols and and my Uzi, since it was spotty raining through out the day. Plus it keeps the caliber usage low. The other was a Bulgarian Makarov and a Hungarian FEG in .32ACP.
The Uzi (Vector receiver) I traded off my Taurus 92T to obtain at a gunshow some time ago, the trade was well worth it. I plan to SBR (Short Barrel Rifle) the Uzi at some future date to make it look more proper. Obtaining a proper 10 inch barrel over the 16 on it now. But still, to shoot this 8 pound hunk of metal was a thrill. BTW, the reason why I got the trade is that the previous owner "Didn't like the weight." and was utterly clueless that the shoulder stock unfolded!!!
Not the most accurate weapon I've fired, perhaps I need more practice with it first.

One thing I don't like about most civilian Uzi's is that they didn't bother to redesign the trigger much from the original. Original trigger when set to semi-auto mode will occasionally allow a short burst of 2 or 3 instead of just one. To fix this, it was modified so that when it would fire a burst, instead it will jam, rather than just not attempting to fire bursts occasionally. I know there are some that don't have that problem, but I can't remember which they are.
That said, I still want an Uzi-Pro or a para-uzi, which will take the Glock 9mm mags I intend to have a lot of eventually.

Dad told me once that he and his platoon had no plates with them for dinner and the sarge said they should be making their own way to deal with it. So dad did it easy and took his Uzi apart and baked his food in once side of it above a fire. Sarge was not amused but couldn't complain because he said that they had to be creative.
