Marguerite Maia, better known as Marge, is the biological mother of Daisey and one of the only other 3 minotaur in town, excluding Daisey's children. From what she's able to elaborate with me, she confronted her husband (who's also the Chief of Bullworth) Sever Maia about the state of the village because ever since overthrowing the previous chief and taking over, the village was thrown into complete disarray; changing the lifestyles of the once peaceful and welcoming Minotaurs and Holstaurs into exhausted husks of battle that are now known for pillaging and ruining settlements both big and large, drafting the males of the village both young and old into their army and constantly throwing them into combat with little-to-no provocation, and treating the once equally respected females of the village into nothing more than breeding machines. He didn't listen and forced her to engage in combat and beat her. Then to make sure she wouldn't dare to get in his way again, he chopped off her right horn (which is basically like breaking their pride to the point where they have a mental shutdown) and banished her to the Lost Mires, a swampland with plentiful amounts of fruit but is also covered in a never-ending mist and is also always shifting, meaning one can never see where they're going and there’s no chance of escape. She was stuck in the Mires for most of Daisey’s life until she spotted the corpse of an explorer who just so happened to have a relic that can grant almost any wish so long as it's done with all your heart, a Wishing Star. All she wanted was to see Daisey again so the Wishing Star opened up a temporary portal to our realm and despite her hesitating to go through at first, she made the jump and shortly found her daughter. She now lives with her and her family as an extra pair of helping hands but due to her trauma at the hands of Sever, she's now terrified and shy about anything no matter how new or old. Luckily, she still has support in the form of her daughter and grandkids and a few friends and she still has an extraordinary knowledge in magic.
