Halfbody commission for HugoJunstrand! Thank you so much for commissioning me, brotherman! 😭🙏

I generally like how ALL my commissions come out; there's always something to be proud of in the overall end result as well as individual parts of them. But this is one of those commissions where I finish it and look at it and I can't help but go:

"...DAMN I'm good at my job. "

Sometimes ya gotta be your biggest cheerleader man. But seriously I'm very pleased with how this came out! Tried out some new techniques with this one, specifically with the linework. I've started just cleaning up my sketches instead of going over and drawing everything all over again, and I really like how much of the original sketch's energy is maintained for through it.

Also tried out pushing perspective again; pushed much thicker and rougher lines for the paw closest to the viewer while the paw farthest away is much thinner and cleaner. I also put a thin wash of paint the same color as the BG over that paw and tail to sell it being further away. Overall I think it came out very successful, or at the very least I'm pretty proud of it. ^.^
