I remember saying at the end of fall last year that I was done with this car. Well, that was a dirty, filthy lie. If it's about what I'm doing to my cars, don't believe me. The winter months gave me plenty of time to think, amongst bouts of car-emo-ness, about what I'm going to bring out this spring. I was satisfied with how the LS was sitting last year for just springs, but I wasn't happy. I jacked the car up and looked at things and came up with a plan and out came the grinder. Now, I wouldn't recommend trying this if you don't know what you're doing, and aren't willing to take a gamble. Then again, I may be stubborn for tying to go as low as I can on springs, granted I could really slam it if I wanted. I re-worked the strut mounts on the rears to get an extra inch or so drop, and did the same up front with losing a coil. To get the wheels sitting better, I threw on a set of spacers for good measure which had me rubbing pretty good so the fenders got worked over too. I also tracked down the super-rare center-caps for the wheels.
With that, the LS is sitting pretty good. No immediate plans, but I found a control arm kit that alters the strut mounts even more for another 1"-1.5" more drop. Otherwise, my sponsor is trying to throw me a set of coils so I can just lay it out, haha. Once again, I may be too stubborn though and try to get dumped on a set of springs, ha!
