My DM once asked me how Synthia held her arcane focus and I drew up this example to show where it would go. This would be on the back of her right paw, a part of her dress, with her arcane focus (which was a crystal) would slot in. Unbeknownst to Synthia, this was made by Razag'thar (or one of his thralls, I haven't decided) when she was still living with him.
