Earlier this year I found this website called Our World of Pixels (think r/place if it was infinite and you didn't have to wait minutes between placing each pixel). While taking a look around I found this little small drawing of a Braixen holding a nail bat and I thought it was pretty funny, so I decided to draw my own take on that.
Making pixel art with a canvas this large (the finished drawing ended up being 200x312) is still a pretty scary prospect for me, but I think it turned out better than my previous attempts at such a task. Shading also didn't end up exactly like how I wanted it to but sometimes you just have to accept you're not the greatest artist ever and pull through anyway.
I drew this live near spawn in the aforementioned site, taking stabs at it over the course of about a week, and the finished product should still be there (if it hasn't been griefed yet, that is). Can't say I didn't miss the convenience of dedicated art software (and I still needed to use paint.net for experimenting a few times) but it was a fun experience nonetheless.
