Wth this chapter, the FurAffinity conversion of Transliterated has finally reached parity with the original Cohost publication! That does mean that updates will now slow down to my actual real writing speed, which is not exactly fast, but it also means that if you're reading this, you're up to date, and won't need to go hunting down the book on another website to catch up.

Now you've got me wondering if they come from different universes as well, ones where transformation is more of a thing, or maybe Chase came from a time when humanity was getting the Beacons set up and he knew about the fail-safe if one went down. Because there's no way he'd otherwise be transformed after a one-way walk into the woods; just dead. (Also, I just realized, the deep and briny "rivers" can be explained by continents coming together into a super-continent. So this is at least 240 million years or so since our time...)
