Also Keitel is determined, I can barely keep up an exercise routine for a week never mind almost every day for several thousand years! Then again when he and Felix meet that's one thing they have in common to bond over.

I think Keitèl keeping everything strictly regimented and himself rather busy is probably good for keeping his sanity. Spend too much time thinking about the past at that age and you're destined to go crazy. Also, whenever he tends to get involved with the outside world people tend to die, so him staying where he is, is probably for the best.

Well Roshka at least doesn't seem to mind! ;)

And yeah it makes you wonder how much of his past he actually remembers, and accurately, I mean I have trouble recalling stuff from ten years ago never mind five-thousand.

Roshka doesn't mind at all. I feel Reya is pretty indifferent to the whole mess and Rayne is going to remain stubbornly defiant.

That actually reminds me of a pretty interesting story I read when I was younger. It was, amusing enough, a Magic: The Gathering tie-in book, but there was a super powerful wizard in it who had ended up making himself immortal. By doing so though, the build up of memories would actually cause him to go insane, so the had to drain his own memories to prevent that. If I recall he actually had a physical manifestation of all of them so that he could go back and find things if he needed to. Was an interesting way of handling it.

Well Rayne is going to have to adjust, though perhaps easier said than done!

And that is an interesting way to approach it, and another example of why immortality for anything remotely human is usually not a very good idea.

It's always the most defiant who end up the cutest in such situations.
