I think, similar to how houses in some places have an entry room with hard flooring, benches and places for one to remove their boots and hangers for work-clothing.. a house for furries might have a similar entry room, with a place for one to dump their wet clothing, large towel-like hangings at the sides for one to shake it off safely, as well as a clean towel and change of clothing (or maybe just the towel if the house is on a bottomless area)..

Soaked dog glad to be home. ( I presume) Our entry way is slate for just that reason.
