Since she joined Applejack’s family, Sugar Belle had become a great friend of Rarity’s. Eventually, Sugar and Mac wanted foals, but were stopped by the fact that Sugar couldn’t have any of her own. Rather than pay a fortune in Manhattan for a risky operation, Rarity offered herself to the cause as a surrogate mother. It was almost like a reflex, but despite being surprised at herself, she didn’t take it back when they agreed to say yes.

One magic spell later, and Rarity had the genes of Sugar, Mac, and herself swirling within her. There was no going back now. As months went by, Rarity watched as her lean figure bloated beyond what she ever thought possible. That stallion had quite the seed, as by the time she reached the final few weeks, Rarity felt massive, even for one having twins. This did not stop her from her passion of making apparel for her fellow ponies. In fact, it even inspired her to make her own line of maternity-wear with herself as the model. These dresses were quite popular at balls and other social gatherings. Rarity’s radiant size, slow yet graceful waddle, and confidence despite her swollen shape, made her steal every room she entered….that and any extra cake that was left around.
