As it turns out, Bruce is not the only robot/cyborg who was made by the evil creator known as Victor. The madman had a backup plan in case Bruce, or the other two Robo Rex models made alongside, broke out or killed him. That backup plan was Hadernas, and two other models built for the same purpose: termination.
As Hadernas' programming and activation was coded, if Victor's heart was removed from his chest for any reason, Hadernas and the other two models would be activated and only have one, single objective. Destroy their assigned target Robo Rex. Hadernas was programmed to destroy B4UC3/Bruce, while the other two models were assigned to destroy the other Robo Rex models. If Victor died of natural causes, the termination Robo Rexes would remain deactivated.
But after Bruce broke free and killed Victor, he inevitably caused the termination models to activate and begin hunting, stopping at absolutely nothing until he was destroyed. Unlike Bruce, the termination models were far more advanced and capable than he and his two "siblings" were.
Hadernas' biggest upgrade was his nanites and advanced weaponry. This came with a cost, though. While Bruce had functional organs, adapted for eating vehicles and other metallic objects and making energy for himself, Hadernas did not. Instead of organs, even mock ones, he had a vast arsenal of weaponry and abilities, ranging from technological manipulators to a supersonic projectile launcher, or for lack of a better word, railgun.
He hunted Bruce down relentlessly, tracking his target down for weeks, months even. Until one day, he could no longer locate Bruce. Or so he thought. He followed last known trails of the target dino, but was led into an ambush by Bruce and his friend, Ashley, who'd wiped all horrible programming out of Bruce that Victor had ever attempted to put into him.
A short fight broke out before Bruce was able to hold down Hadernas long enough for Ashley to wipe out the termination programming, due to Hadernas being the first termination model and lacking a programming failsafe. She displayed to him the horrible things the deceased Victor had done, and Hadernas came to realize that he had been serving a corrupt, evil man, dead or not. He accepted peace, and became good friends with Bruce.
After Bruce found Joshua and returned to the past, Hadernas used his ultimate ability, that being his time travel, to return to the similar time. He tends to travel through time to see events or in some cases, fix timeline fractures while disguising or cloaking himself so his presence is not known.
Haven't written something that long in a hot minute XD. Anyway, had this guy for....probably about two years now and only finally got some kind of idea for his backstory and personality, and now here he is.
For anyone wondering, he is indeed a full robot, and the skin and eyes are all synthetic and just meant to cover his robotic elements.
