trust me, venezuelan folk tales are waaaaaay weirder
EL CARRETON the black wagon, basically, a phantom guy on a wagon picking up plague corpses, and in his afterlife, hunting people that are on the streets after midnight.
EL SILBON, a guy who were killed cus he had a romance with another guy's wife, and has a dog that always bites him on the calf, forever (the story changes form region to region, but the main thing is, when you hear his whistling close, he is far away, but when you barely hear it, he is behind you, and you are basically dead)
LA BOLA DE FUEGO, the fireball. nuf said
DOCTOR CANOCHE, a german scientist that made experiments in venezuela, he wanted to find a way to preserve corpses and beat decomposing of flesh, apparently, his main goal was to preserve the corpse of his wife. but people started the rumor tat he was actually experimenting with zombie drugs and other stuff, a very creepy story, cus, apparently, the guy dug corpses from cemeteries and stole them from morgues. nothing confirmed, but no reason to doubt it either.
so...yeah. a guy riding a tornado, or a giant dude and his blue bull companion, yeah, i'll take those anyday
