What an amazing art ERA-7 made, and just using black and white ! The cosmic feeling of grandeur is really awe-inspiring here.
A divinity of both life and death is probably the most cruel and harsh existence one can imagine. You both creates unimaginable wonders and see their birth, and also you're tasked to bring destruction to all inevitably.

Exactly. Black and white arts are underrated
These can be as beautiful as any colored art or even surpassing them in terms of beauty and accuracy of forms
As for the concept - death natural, unnatural and premature death are all coming to him
The worst probably when being that had only couple of days in this world dies... but there was entire life ahead
Alas such is life. Yet it doesn't disappear but transforms in something new
So yeah he is even more tragic character than Yin in many ways but insanely soft and kind despite his grim work

In his absence the universe stopped spreading in terms of new life-forms and entropy took place
Stagnancy was so drastic that many civilizations perished just by the ways of extinction
Not to mention the world were hit by deceases that never seen before and mutations that could be described as unstable or harmful
His complete disapperance would not mean complete end but a very harsh times for all life forms
Eventually he would appear again but his memories will be stripped away and possibly he could rise with different personality
Which is sad in its own way especially for Yin because he is the closest person ever existed in all universes

So in my universe I never existed as a necessity. Mostly just a power that exists.I mostly existed normally. Only to be roused by over-reaching dominance. My inquisitive nature known no bounds, and I had no intention on ceasing to exist. There is just too much to explore. Hence why I became a celestial, that was born of a world that was invaded by those that saw my kind as a resource.
I will agree that becoming something akin to The One Above All may not seem exciting. But when eternity is only a short while to you, it's not so bad.
While a cycle is required, the universe is... *deep breath* ...very large.
On one planet, yes. many immortal beings are a problem.
I suppose it would be a matter of managing yourself. And how you would require the use for such power. Like what I have done. I reduced myself to a storm dragon, keeping my cosmic nature dormant, or in hibernation.
I have no intention on stopping, or preventing the natural cycles of others. But I also don't want the fabric of reality to be torn apart.
I have no intention of allowing the universe I love to end. But, if it happens, then it happens. There are greater powers beyond even mine. Those powers, are not always, or need to be of a conscious mind either.
Consider The Mending in Magic the Gathering. That was their version of a tax for being able to bear ultimate power.

For the most part. The practice is mostly for fun rather than something serious. But I will say, dancing through the cosmos, whether you discover or sire other life or not, is an an incredible experience. And, there is only one way to do it. You gotta have the power. It's a beautiful system of wonders. I can't fathom the idea of being bound to a planet.
