Keldeo had arrived at Kyurem's location. If only he could defeat Kyurem, he could prove to everyone how good of a warrior he was. He didn't tell the others what he was doing. He was going to do it alone.
He approached the centre of the lair, and challenged Kyurem to a battle.
"Kyurem! I'm here to battle you!" Keldeo said, filled with pride.
There was silence. Then a strong gust of icy wind.
"Do you feel like your worthy of battling me?" A voice echoed.
Keldeo gulped, there was something about those words that gave him the shivers. He still had the chance to turn back at this point, but he wasn't going to run.
"I-I'm a member of the swords of justice! I've been training to take you down!" Keldeo said, with a slight shake.
Kyurem emerged from the shadows. Now, there is no going back.
They both engaged in battle. Keldeo's display was pitiful in comparison to Kyurem, and it wasn't long before Keldeo was laying there in defeat. On the ground he looked up and saw that Kyurem, who didn't even a scratch, was slowly approaching...
Keldeo started pleading to be spared, but knowing how merciless the dragon was, he thought he was done for... To Keldeo's shock Kyurem just sat in front of him and shoved his dirty feet in his face.
Ugh... what is he doing... Keldeo thought.
"So... You're not only a pathetic excuse of a warrior, but your also a coward who immediately begs for mercy when things go south? " Kyurem said as he looked down at the wounded Keldeo who was shaking in pain and fear.
"Let's see how pathetic you really are. Lick my feet clean whilst begging for your life, then maybe I might just let you go." Kyurem said, shoving his dirty feet right into Keldeo's face.
Keldeo would never stoop this low, but knowing this his only chance to come out of this alive, he had no choice but to tend to the dragons feet. He looked up and saw the giant paws looming over him. They looked so dirty. With tears in his eyes, Keldeo slowly stuck out his tongue. His tongue could feel the musk emitting from Kyurem's foot even before contact. Once Keldeo's tongue touched Kyurem's foot a chill went through his entire body.
"P-please *lick* I-I'm sorry *lick* J-just please *lick ugh* L-let me go." Keldeo stuttered.
Filled with embarrassment, laying there in all humiliation, licking his enemy's feet in submission whilst pleading. Keldeo's pride had been completely destroyed. He should have ran when he had the chance, and he will forever regret that.
"What a disgrace. You're a joke to the swords of justice. Now kiss my foot!" Kyurem demanded.
"A-ah Y-yes *kiss* *kiss*" Keldeo squeaked out.
"Good. And forget to keep licking and begging as well!" Kyurem replied.
"Y-yes *lick* C-can I *kiss* G-go now. *lick*" Keldeo whimpered.
Kyurem looked back down and shoved his feet even more in Keldeo's face.
"THIS is what your good for! THIS is your purpose in life! You go when I say you can go!" Kyurem shouted.
Keldeo just laid there. Licking. Kissing. Pleading. Taking all the verbal abuse. There was nothing he could do, and this moment will be unforgettable.
"Now, 'warrior', I want you to know your place. Say 'I'm pathetic.'" Kyurem sneered with a slight guilty smile across his face.
"I *lick* I-I'm-" Keldeo stuttered.
"What was that? I can't hear you!" Kyurem returened.
"I- *kiss* I'm pathetic! *lick*" Keldeo reluctantly said.
This has to be a bad dream. This isn't real. I don't deserve this! Keldeo thought to himself, but it's not like he was going to do anything about it.
"That's what I like to hear. Now tell me. What are you good for?" Kyurem said.
"I- *kiss* Th-this! *lick* A-all I'm g-good for *kiss* i-is tending to y-your feet... *lick*" The now prideless Keldeo said.
After many gruelling hours, Kyurem's feet no longer had any dirt on them. Kyurem looked back down and was reminded of just how pitiful the pathetic excuse of a pokemon was, and decided to let keldeo flee.
"Looks like this is what you were good for. Anyway, I'm finished toying with you, the site of something this pathetic should be no where near my lair." Kyurem said whilst looking down at the tear filled Keldeo.
"S-so, can I, um-" Keldeo stuttered.
"NOW SCRAM BEFORE I CHANGE MY MIND, WEAKLING!" Kyurem shouted, kicking keldeo back with his newly cleaned foot.
"A-AH Y-YES I'M G-GOING NOW-" Keldeo managed to stutter.
Keldeo, not wanting to stay any longer, managed to get together all the energy he had left and quickly limped away in another pathetic display. He didn't look back, he didn't want to know what would happen if he did...
Eventually the bruised up Keldeo managed to get home. The taste of Kyurem's foul sole was still plaguing his mouth and tongue, as it will for a long time.
"Keldeo! Where have you been!? We were worried sick! What happened to you!?" They all said.
Keldeo couldn't even look anyone in the eye, and he knew his life would be ruined with shame if any of them found out what really happened.
"O-oh I, um, just... fell somewhere..." Keldeo said softly.
"You need to be more careful. Afterall your training to take down Kyurem one day, aren't you. It's what you've always dreamed of doing." One of them said.
Just hearing that name made Keldeo cringe and shiver. It even managed to make the taste of dirt and musk in his mouth even stronger. He never wanted anything to do with Kyurem ever again.
"Um, well, I was maybe, you know, thinking of going for a different goal..." Keldeo stuttered.
Naturally they were shocked, but they always said they'll support Keldeo's dream no matter what it was, and didn't put too much thought into it.
As for Keldeo, it will be a moment he'll never forget. A moment that will keep him up late every night. What was a proud and prideful pokemon is now a broken husk of his former self...
He approached the centre of the lair, and challenged Kyurem to a battle.
