First updated ref sheet. I think this counts as a milestone. Maybe. Regardless I'm gonna write a story to canonize the changes because I'm a nerd. I love Mani's original design. But there was always one problem I didn't know how to fix. While wearing her dress. She looked absolutely nothing like a puppet. And the glowing blue joints suited her. But felt unrealistic. It was then I remembered that Sinematyc literally has a puppet OC so they might have the solution lol. And I think they did amazing. So I have to do them proud with the story. And tease a character coming soon~ so enjoy folks~

Mani tested out her new joints carefully. Crafted specifically so it was easier for her to move. While her original joints did the job. They weren't designed with 24/7 use in mind. It was still strange to think that her body was literally made for the use of another. Even if it was clear nobody saw her like that anymore. Especially Lucy. The tall slimy carpenter had taken an almost motherly role in Mani's life since she was "born" Always checking in on her and making sure that her wood was in peak condition.

The new arms and legs were a surprise from her. A gift to help Mani move around a bit easier. The double jointed nature of her legs designed to help with that while reducing friction. Mani only wished she could return the favor.

"Lu...Cy.... Thank.... You... You... Are... Sweet..."

Lucy couldn't help but smile and blush a little bit at the praise. Glad to see the new joints were a success.

"You just let me know if there's anything wrong with them and I'll get it fixed right away."

With how motherly she had been lately. It almost felt wrong to not have "I love you" at the end of that statement. But Mani didn't mind. She could barely understand her own concept of emotions yet much less another's. Finishing up her testing of the new legs and looking over to Lucy.

"Saw... Book... Want... To... Thank..."

Mani said. Before leaning down and kissing Lucy's cheek. One of the first things she read being a romance story. Though with her limited understanding of feelings. She could only understand that it was a way to show someone you liked them as Lucy blushed.

"Will... Go... On... Stroll.... Read... More... Books"

She said. Walking away before Lucy could even react. The new legs were quite agile. And slowly but surely. Mani was becoming more and more alive. Though her speech showed no signs of improvement. Seemingly a trait she was born with.
