Present to my friend, Nathaniel Calloway. He still doesn't have a definate look about his character's outfit, so I just gave him a snazy getup I thought up.
I know the katana is a little short, that's because it's a Wakasashi. For those of you who know your weapons, then I don't have to explain much.

Since when were monks restricted to weapons that bludgeon?
Some have embraced the fact that mere sutras and blunt stalves just aren't enough.
If it were my character, the blade would be one that could be infused with some sort of power to exorcise demons, used to thrust into them to expell their essence and essentially weaken them for a standard sutra or banishment spell.
But then again, it's not my character, and he has to come up for a reason for the sword X3;
...the staff summons things, and can give a nasty cut in battle ^.^;
