This Arlene is a lot of fun and certainly an improvement over the original.
I always thought Arlene could have been made more interesting by leaning way more into the stray cat background and contrasting it with Garfield's housecat comforts. But, with me wanting a gay Garf, I preferred a tomcat over a molly lady cat, an alley cat that Garfield found exciting and "dangerous", probably with a really enchanting voice that bewitches him at the nighttime singing on the fence.
Ironically, your genderbent Arlene, Arlo, fits the look I had in mind perfectly.

I used to think her design was really ugly, too.
Once I got to know her personality and how awesome she is, it stopped bugging me.
Now she doesn't feel like herself without them.

The purple eyes are perfect for her, and you did a really cool thing with her lips, keeping them but making them more cute!
