I drew this on July 27, 2024 just after enduring several weeks of the worst Internet service I've had in recent memory. After hearing about RaccoonViolet teaming up with two others to win "Real Wild" at the Assembly Summer 2024 demoparty, I decided to post it. That I'd just went through Internet problems when I drew it meant that I had surfing (as in the Internet) on my mind. Though I intended it to be cyberspace-themed, I ultimately decided that it would look better without that theme forced into it, to just have a nice and solid picture of a surfing raccoon. Instead, it was the piece I drew for Evoke 2024 that ended up with a cyberspace theme.
Months later, I gave it another go for my surprise entry into Inércia 2024's graphics showcase, and succeeded in less time than I took to draw this!
