Now, merge the hair layers (but don't merge them with the one that was just talked about "dark hair strands" or the original hair lines) you can adjust the dark/light areas with the Burn and Dodge tool. For that, you don't want to go too much on it or it will all look like shit after. So i just have them set to opacity 15 to 25. If you feel any color is needed elsewhere, just do it with more layers. Now that the areas are dark/lightened (or even just left alone is some spots) take the blur tool to a light setting and try to get it all at once in one click or 2. If there is any flaws after this you can just smudge tool them out.
so now ye got your hair color & shaded layer, dark hair strands layer and on top is still the original hair lines.
Add another hair layer, choose the lightest hair color and set your pen to strength 100 and a brush thickness of 1. go over the sections with some strands where the dodge tool was used. (give a lighting effect)
Cheetah spots are added (brush tool set opacity 100 and sizes 3-7)
