I met up with a friend in the botanical gardens this past Sunday to do some watercoloring. I hadn't traditionally painted anything since like 2012 and I probably haven't touched watercolors since I was in middle school.
After playing around a bit with mixing colors (left) I painted a nearby bench. Soon after some guy came by and sat on that same bench, so I decided to try and paint him too. I did a good job with mixing the color for his skin, but I painted his cell phone in black too early and it ruined the profile, making it a silhouette. It was still fun though. I'm gonna try and take a watercolor class at the local arts center the next time they offer it. If I can figure out how to do it traditionally, I can finally learn to do it digitally.
