Publisher and I weren't exactly sure what to do for the Fatality series' trilogy compilation/compendium. I basically did a bunch of them with different themes, handed them over to the publisher, and told them to "Pick one." This is one of many that I made that wasn't picked in the end.
This one was "Marvel meets kitchen sink" and is the most extreme color progression of the original book series colors since they started off quite colorless and then become brighter and more neon as they went along. It also carried over some of its elements that included the silhouetted tree decays, the comet, and the celestial objects. As my publisher noted, because it is the 'Fatality' series, she should feature prominently on it, hence why she's centered and not so obscured. It's fun to have one where I get to play with the light.

I love the silhouette style of the original book covers, but I love this one just as much. It's very striking, and I like the way my attention is drawn around the piece. It might be the moons/planets in the corners, but it feels like this could be a Tarot card. I would buy a deck if you made one (but making one is draining my sanity, so I don't know if I'd recommend it)
