Due to a number unlucky circumstances, Lieutenant Ulrich Veringen found himself as the only escort fighter on a small bombing raid. Needless to say, it went from a risky mission to a downright suicide mission. While he managed to put up a decent enough fight there wasn't a whole lot he could have done on his own. Especially considering the bombers were the priority. Four of the ten would be shot down during the raid, along with Veringen's 190. He'd manage to evade capture, making it back to the airfield, no less angered than when he left.
