Another piece I got from my lovely wife,
WhouldYouLookAtThat
Oswald grew up as a humble farmer on the more rural outskirts of Overland, from a deeply pious Plenty-worshipping family (from back before it was common knowledge that the Plenty walked among the mortals of Overland). He had always had a mind for tinkering and invention, and preferred to make toys and other trinkets to entertain and delight. Polite, generous, and a gentleman, Oswald was content with the company of his family...until he met a beautiful wolf named Lily Thorne while attending a farmer's market in Overland proper. The two started dating, and eventually admitted their love, which was when Lily revealed that she was none other than the Comet, one of the gods of the Plenty.
Despite his initial shock, Oswald quickly adapted. He'd fallen in love with Lily Thorne, the kind and lovely young woman, not the idea of her as a god. And as such, he didn't much mind that her "day job" was what it was. The two later married, and had a son, Mortimer. Oswald is content to be a stay-at-home husband, making custom-made toys and small appliances for his friends and neighbors.
