I am home again after a week and some days absence, and a few thousand miles more on the odometer. I spent some time on top of a mountain, some time in a valley, and most of the time painting and sketching. I did a few acrylic paintings on wooden boards salvaged from a dumpster. This one is based on a few photos I took while learning to drive a dogsled and wrangle dogs a couple years ago.
11.5"x24" acrylic on wood.
(You can see a couple more over on my art-blog or my LiveJournal.)
Anyhow, I am back again and have a few things in mind to work on for AnthroCon, some emails to get back to, a couple loose ends to tie up, and the time (and stable Internet) to start digging into a few of those Hogwarts badges. Later today, I'll be posting the official Across Thin Ice release announcement! Stay tuned!

Love the eyes. The brown patch next to the collie's head is weirding my eyes out, though. I think it's because it's so much warmer than the collie (perhaps inescapable, due to the collie being a collie), and so it pushes forward even though consciously I know it's pretty far in the background.
The snow's really good, though. They add a lovely touch to the image. Good work. :)

Looks like a greenland dog. It is rare to see this breed. I had to do with some of them a few years ago. But could be one of the very dark Huskies, too. Dark ones are so . Wait, I have to roll the dice, to define the breed. But, nevertheless, the picture is so awesome. Giving the feeling of, "come on, I'm so cute and adorable".
Everytime I see your art, I want to cry of pure joy! This is beautiful!
I´ll say it again, you are my #1 inspiration! Because of your beautiful art, I´m now able to draw half deacent dogs. Seriously, if I´d never saw your work my dogs would still look like absolute rubbish.
Thanks for this wonderful piece of art!
