This is a low quality recording, Telephone quality. Mono.
Its 11 Minutes and 47 Seconds and only takes up 2.69Mb
Recorded in Akron Ohio. Just after a cloudburst. Just an hour or two ago.
I apologize for the poor quality sound And the occasional noise of me moving around, I recorded this with a "Aiptek DV4500" on voice recorder mode. its a shitty generic DV camera that runs on 2 AA batteries.
If you need a thunderstorm background sound for a game or flash or something, or just enjoy the sound of nature, you're free to use this as you like. Trim it, Filter it, Use it in full. Do whatever you want with it. I release it to use freely for all purposes. The only catch? I ask that if you make something with it. you share it with me. :P

[edit] FA's media player didn't seem to like the ".wav" file. nor did the download link apparently work properly, so i went and turned it to a 32Kbps mp3... :/

To get this sound I opened the window about an inch and a half, sat that camera on the window sill pressed record and just tiptoed
away. the mic was facing straight up. It was kind of an experiment to find out which would run out first: the old ass batteries, or the
crummy 16MB of flash memory. It turned out to be the batteries. I had actually let the camera sit for much longer then this. not knowing if it was still going or not for about 20 minutes. And its too bad it did quit. there was some more big booms later in. :)
