Gouache (real gouache, not "acryla gouache" which has nothing to do with gouache) is sort of midway between acrylic and watercolor. You can use it very diluted like watercolor or thick like here. But it's a demanding medium, because even when dry it will rewet with water so you can't paint over mistakes too many times
