Celene while being a Pokémon, is a mutant so her circumstances with certain things are different. This is especially true when her body while physically strong hasn’t grown up to the 20 year age where then become immune to things like, poisons, diseases, plagues and worst of all allergies, at her age when her body is just about to go though it’s growth process is when she becomes most sensitive to things like diseases and food allergies. So when Celene gets something she’s allergic too in her food Nubby goes ballistic since not only could it easily put her in the emergency room but also… cause pickles are just yucky and Celene didn’t want them anyways so Nubby has to speak up for her gf who’s a bit too nervous to speak up for herself X3
