Sedona was born with strabismus and a visual acuity of 20/200 uncorrectable vision in his affected eye. When he was young they assumed this was caused by exclusively amblyopia and strabismus so they gave him an eye patch in hopes of correcting it. they also gave him a toddler's white cane to help him navigate the world safely while correcting his eyesight. the eye patch did not work because Sedona actually had internuclear ophthalmoplegia causing the strabismus and vision loss as well as gaze evoked nystagmus.
