Sometimes, you get hungry, and you see the perfect plump meal just sitting there right in front of you.
Sometimes, you are in this situation, and you rush in and gulp down that meal without taking a second to think, "Is this a good idea?"
This poor Lucario let his hunger get the best of him, and didn't stop to think about the fact that a steel types gut won't have the best time trying to melt down a fire type.
Hopefully once he's worked whoever that unfortunate prey thing is down, he'll learn from this experience.
Though most people that think with their guts don't tend to learn from their mistakes...
