This is a small collection of the proposed layout of Dan House which is the home of Lord Dan and his family (including D. Dan of course). It is rough and still unfinished.
The home sits on top of a hill that is short at the top of the area but, at the bottom, is on top of a steep hill. The hills extend out on either side making a miniature valley where the main driveway leads up to the stairs and a parking garage set into the hill. The stairs lead up the hill to the main door on the south side of the main hall. The other side of the hall is the main door for public visitors to use and is reached by a graceful grand staircase. The main entrance, for visitors, is the north gate whereas private and other visitors enter through the south gate.
The east hill holds the family portion of the estate where the family stays at. This area has a private garden, training area, and other locations and rooms for family and important visitors only.
The top area, or main hill, is the main hall that holds the rooms for offices and visitor areas such as a hall where the lord of the manor sits in attendance on scheduled days to hear any requests and questions from the people regarding defense, protection, and requests to be delivered to the royal family. It is also where the public makes gifts to the lord himself out of appreciation. ^\/^.
On the north and west side of the estate is the servants and soldiers quarters. These quarters, either permanent or temporary, hold any soldiers that guard the estate and ensure order is maintained. And it is where the servants, butlers and other staff stay at. Generally the area is temporary housing and not permanent. Only a few are permanent.
The north and west side also hold grand ball room that is occasionally used for large parties and galas for either public, fellow lords, visiting dignitaries and / or both. The drawing on the top right hand side shows a close up of the grand ball room area with side gardens that are reached by side stairs. The grand ball room and its spectacular hall leading to the room are generally not used and, due to the expensive materials and furniture used, tend to be covered up more so than uncovered. The floor of the great hall are covered in a royal purple carpet. The walls in the great hall are generally covered in blue silk due in part of the walls being lined with precious stones and gold, silver and platinum. The walls are picture in Lord Dan's portrait. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4685856/ . ^\/^.
Much of the west hill on top is a leveled out area that holds various gardens, grassy areas, an orchard and vineyard. The west hill areas is also open to the public as a park area for local residents and other public visitors. The area just to the south of this area has a large four faced clock tower, 3 grottoes and various fountains of various sizes. The hills on the west and north side is made of several leveled plateaus that hold additional gardens and terraces and acts as a means to reach and climb the west and north hills. The east hill is not so easy being where the family stays at. This hill is of a steep vertical wall that has a few large terraces and gardens for the family. The east and west hills are connected by a wide bridge that spans the private valley below and is equal in height to the leveled areas on top at a height of about 85 feet.
The manor is surrounded by a wall with a walkway on top and has roads on the outside area. The south road dips at a steep grade, but cut into the land so as to be more gradual than the actual land. The east and west roads cross at the south road at about 40 feet high and lead and cross the north road at 85 feet.
The north road is close to a public monorail that is part of the cities' monorail system and also is close to the subway entrances. Both are not major ports, but large enough to serve the locals and the occasional public visitors. These locations are between the north road and a steep hill and cliff area that is part of the plateau of the royal palace district.
The north road also leads to the palace road at various locations that leads to the gates of the palace district where the royal palace is located. The manor is located so that it is close to the palace which is essential since Lord Dan is one of the members of the main group of 10 lords that serve the kingdom and act as protectors in their field of expertise. Lord Dan's main expertise is the defense against monsters, demons and similar fiends.
This manor is one of 10 that are closest to the palace district with the other manors home to the other nine lords. This manor is also one of the hilliest of the 10 with most of the others being on more level ground. Only one other is hilly and is home to the lord who's expertise is spirits, mysticism, divine magic and paranormal activities.
The manor sits on a relatively square plot of land that is approximately 1 square mile in area. ^\/^.
