It's really easy lol.
1. Get everything you need to make a cake like your normally would. You can buy regular vanilla cake or a white cake mix. You just need 1 box for cupcakes, and maybe a cake, depending on how deep your cake pan is.
2. Buy GEL food dye. It has to be gel, and you don't need a lot of it to get a vibrant color. (I just barely stuck my spoon in for a tiny amount)
3. Get 8 bowls. One big one for mixing the ingredients, and 7 for the colors of the rainbow.
4. Once you have your batter pour it into each of the 7 bowls.
5. Now get your gel dye and put in a small amount of each color to each bowl. (I used one spoon cause I licked off the batter, you can get separate spoons if your weird about germs lol) Now you should have the rainbow of batter!
6. Start with purple, or red, whatever you want on the bottom of the cupcake. Add a SMALL amount, about half a spoonful. If it dont look like it's enough DO NOT ADD MORE. Remember it expands when you bake it. Get the next order of color and continue to add small amounts until filled. Do not, do not, over fill the cupcake, you should know to never full full a cup, or when you bake it it will GO EVERYWHERE!
7. Once you have your tray all filled, pop it in the oven, bake em and wait for them to be done.
8. Once done, take them out GENTLY and LET THEM COOL. Or they will crumble.
9. Add any kind of frosting you like.
10. ENJOY!
